Part of what makes a woman bold is her ability to stand up for herself and make sure her voice is heard. In today’s world, it has become increasingly important for a woman to speak up for herself and the world around her. Nearly 100 years ago, women were given the right to vote and have a say in the way our country is run — and today is the day we can do just that. But remember…

Do Your Research

Whichever side of the political spectrum you happen to be on, it is important to vote. But, don’t vote blindly — rather, do your research ahead of time so that you know who and what you are signing your name to. When doing your research, be sure that you are checking reliable websites. As we are all now well-aware, the media can be deceiving and biased in its views on certain propositions. So, be sure to read not only the pros to a certain proposition or candidate, but also the cons. And remember, there are always two sides to every story. If you do your homework upfront, you will be able to make well-informed and confident decisions when it’s your time to hit the polls.

Don’t Take Your Right To Vote For Granted

Exercising your right to vote is something you should be proud of. This is your chance to make a change and speak up about your beliefs and values. Your voice matters! Even if it may seem like you are only one of millions of people, your ballot does make a difference. Because while you may take your ability to vote for granted, many people cannot vote. So if you’re not going to vote for yourself, vote for those who do not have a say.

I’ve said it once, and I will say it again — your voice matters. So today, on November 6, 2018, be bold and fulfill your duty as a citizen of this country and vote.

Tell us: why are you voting?
